Company Overview

For more than 50 years, Pusri has made a significant contribution to the progress of the fertilizer industry, food security, and national prosperity.

PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang (shortened as PUSRI) is a pioneer company of urea fertilizer producers in Indonesia, established on 24th of December 1959 in Palembang, South Sumatra as PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja (Persero). Pusri began its operational business with the main purpose implement and support Indonesian government policies and programs in the economic and national development sectors, especially in the fertilizer and other chemical industries. Our history as a pioneer of national fertilizer producers for more than 60 years has proved our ability and commitment to carry out important tasks given by the government.

Apart from being a national fertilizer producer, Pusri also carries out trading businesses, providing services, and other businesses related to the fertilizer industry. Pusri is responsible for carrying the distribution and marketing of subsidized fertilizers to farmers as a form of implementing the Public Service Obligation (PSO) to support the national food program by prioritizing the production and distribution of fertilizers to farmers throughout Indonesia. Sales of non-subsidized urea fertilizer to meet the fertilizer needs of the plantation, industrial, and export sectors are part of other company activities outside the responsibility of implementing the PSO.

As a company that is responsible for the sustainability of the national fertilizer industry, Pusri has various transformations in management and authority related to government policies. On the 18th of April 2012, the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) inaugurated PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) as the name of the new fertilizer holding company, replacing the name PT Pusri (Persero).


PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) is now the main shareholder and controls Pusri with 99.9998% ownership. While the main owner entity of PT Pupuk Indonesia is the Government of the Republic of Indonesia which owns all (100.00%) shares of Pupuk Indonesia (Persero). From now on, Pusri officially operates under the name of PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang and continues to use the Pusri brand and trademark.

Perilaku seluruh insan PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang berasal dan timbul dari nilai-nilai Perusahaan, sehingga untuk menetapkan standar tata perilaku mengacu pada Core Values Perusahaan yang ada dalam SK/DIR/391/2020 tanggal 30 November 2020 tentang Visi, Misi, Core Values Dan Kompetensi Inti PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang. Dalam Surat Keputusan Direksi tersebut ada 6 (enam) Core Values Perusahaan yang mengadopsi Nilainilai Utama Sumber Daya Manusia BUMN sebagai identitas dan perekat budaya kerja yang mendukung peningkatan kinerja secara berkelanjutan. Factory Profile

All operational production facilities reflect our spirit of implementing revitalization, energy conversion, and green industry.
The construction of factory facilities for PUSRI I, II, III, IV, V, and IB was carried out separately and gradually. Every factory was built with careful planning according to the Development Plan for Five Years proclaimed by the Government of Indonesia to meet national fertilizer needs, which continue to increase.

Pusri is the first fertilizer company in Indonesia to get the "Green Proper" Award from the Ministry of Environment in 2011 and 2012. We also received the Green Industry Award from the President of the Republic of Indonesia in 2012.
