The name and influence of this kingdom are even heard in the corners of the world, both in terms of its strength in trade, religion, and culture. In the Sanskrit language, Sri means "shining" or "brilliant," and Widjaja means "victory" or "glory." Sriwidjaja means "greatness or gloriously brilliant" in its full form.
