Pusri Achieves Production Target

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Four fertilizer factories belonging to PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja (Pusri) in Palembang, South Sumatra, have been running normally from January to June 2015, and claimed to have met its intended production target. "Until June [2015], the production of the four factories have exceeded 700,000 tons. Production will remain normal considering that the factories' are old," Pusri Public Relations Manager Sulfa Ghanie said in Palembang on Wednesday, June 10, 2015. Sulfa said that Pusri's Fertilizer supplies available in its factories as of June 2015, was recorded at about 40,000 tons. Meanwhile, the number of supplies available in Pusri's work area, including South Sumatra Province, Jambi, Bengkulu, Lampung, Bangka Belitung, Banten, Jakarta, Central Java and Yogyakarta, was recorded to be more than 50,000 tons. Sulfa added that production activities in the four factories were considered normal and managed to reach its optimum capacity despite the fact that the factories were rather old. Pusri's new factory construction had began in the middle of 2013, and is currently running according to plan. The new factory is expected to begin production in the end of 2015 and hoped to increase fertilizer productions up to 2.61 million tons annually. ANTARANEWS
